"Hyperrealism is mind blowing, because beyond the physical sculpture, the precision it takes to execute a piece like this one is impeccable. Paying attention to details is an understatement. It’s evident artist Jamie Salmon put his soul into this work, not missing a single Picasso beat" - -Demyah Jackson

Gallipoli: The Scale of our War Exhibition@ Te Papa Museum New Zealand
In 2015, this major exhibition opened @ Te Papa. Jamie was horoured to be invited to work at the famed Weta Workshop in New Zealand on this very prestigious project, commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli. It was a huge project involving the creation of monumental scale Hyper Realistic figures based on some of the actual soldiers who fought in the war. Jamie was primarily hired as a sculptor and and consultant for the painting and hair teams. He was tasked with mainly working on the detailing of the clay head sculpture of the soldier known as Carkeek.
